The book I read is called 'Don't Tell' by Mercy Amare.

I really liked this book, I loved the plot line, and the characters. The important characters in this book are: Lucy, Ian, Tess, and Charles, Lucy's Dad.
Lucy is  a very dynamic character, at the beginning of the book, she doesn't really trust anyone other than Tess, her best friend. In the book, she thinks to herself "The last thing I wanted was a boyfriend... It would just be one more person I would have to lie to." (Amare, 6).   Towards the end of the book, she starts to learn how to trust people, like Ian. Ian is a static character, because he does not undergo major change.   Tess is also a static character, because she doesnt undergo major change. although she does help to move Lucy along in the story.  Tess helps Lucy realize that maybe all she needed was a boyfriend.  Charles is a static character, he does not change at all through the book. Charles is Lucy's abusive father, who blames Lucy for her mom's death.  All of these characters help move Lucy towards the right path for herself, whether its helping her notice that she needs a safer place, or its giving her the self confidence she needs, they all help her throughout the book.
